We organise a platoon reunion every year for all ex or serving members of  The M.T Platoon in different locations around the U.K.

 

These are very casual functions where a bunch of old friends get together and have a good laugh about the old times with no heirs or graces (and certainly no rank)

 

We usually meet up at the selected location at Saturday midday and the party then begins. ( Some members do arrive on Friday evening and make a weekend of it ! ) The wives sometimes go for a stroll around the shops in the afternoon and let the fellas pull up their sandbags and catch up on old times. Later on in the evening we have a hot buffet and generally drink until the last man goes to bed (usually Touch Portwood) or the bar staff kick us out and close the bar.

 

The next reunion is on 19th July 2008 in Chertsey, Surrey.
